I went out with the intention of getting some river birds, and whilst having a brew saw this beauty on the fence  :)

I think it is an Alder Fly, however it could be a Caddis or Dark Sedge (for a fly fisher, I am useless at naming them).

A reight good do this is; it needs local people to support this venture and to buy local produce, we have some fantastic food producers here in Lancashire, and the food miles are negligible compared to the stuff that trundles up to the supermarkets.
