This blog is dedicated to the Village where I was born, grew up and still live. If you click on an image bellow you will see a larger version. Barrowford is a beautiful place and through this blog I hope to stimulate outside interest in my village. There may be stories in due course, but in the main this blog is images of the Village and surrounding area; this will extend to the Pendle and Burnley areas, anything outside Barrowford will be notified to the viewer.

Higherford Mill

This was on the BBC programme Restoration Village with Griff Reese Jones, it would have been a worthy winner, but alas it didn't make the final. Still a very impressive building that stands on the main run down from Higherford and as it stands on the bend, people slow to look.
